As you know, ordinary pitching machines throw a consistent speed. Great for getting timing down and for repeititive hitting. But we all also know that live pitchers aren't as considerate as we'd like them to be. They throw off-speed pitches to fool hitters and mess with that timing, trying to get them off-balance. Well now hitting coaches and instructors have a weapon to combat this. The JUGS Changeup machine throws fastball and changeups that look identical and can be switched back and forth with a remote control! This means the coach can be in the dugout and mix in off-speed pitches without tipping off the hitter, providiing a much more realistic practice approach.
